D Day Adventure Park is located in Wyandotte OK, just the other side of the MO/OK state line from Seneca MO about 15 to 20 miles south of Joplin. It is primarily a paintball park but opens up once a month to ATVs and 4X4s. The NWAATVRC ATV club is working on mapping the trails there. The trails there are pretty good and range from easy to extreme. They have woods riding, mudholes, and a drag strip. Fees for riding there last year was $20/ATV for the weekend and camping was $5. They gave you a wristband so if you left the park you can get back in without paying. They have a cafe there that has pretty good food and fair showers. Neosho Powersports and Destination Powersports of Marionville sponsors a trail ride there twice a year and the NWAATVRC hosts an ATV rodeo, drag race, mud drag, obstacle course, and a 5 mile timed race that is mapped out through the trails. All of these events are free to enter with the price of admission.
Dewayne Confirs is the event promotor for D Day and told me last year he is working on getting the ATV interest higher there and the park has purchased some additional acreage and is planning on building a large rodeo areana to host the ATV rodeos and a 300' drag strip that will only allow ATV's.
D Day is VERY strict on the use of helmets. You must have a helmet on at all times when riding the ATV, even if you are just driving to the bathrooms. There are no rules against riding double here. You can ride the trails there up until midnight however after dark you must have a minimum of 5 ATV's in your group.
***UPDATE***
I just spoke with Dewayne at D Day. What they are doing right now is if you have a group of 10 or more people contact him and he will open the park for you. They are currently working on new trails and they have the 'Trail Stomps' sponsored by Neosho Powersports scheduled for the first weekend in April and the 1st weekend in September for 2010. These are the weekends they will run the ATV rodeos, drag races, woods race, obstacle course, and mud drag pit.
